exporting camera

Anyone figured out how?

Need to set up some specific views for some architectural renders and it'd be much easier to do in rhino than in octane.

The plug-in posted in this forum will export the active viewport's camera. It should export camera and target position, as well as camera roll.

Hi Sam,

thanks, was having trouble getting my rhino 4.0 install updated to sr8, download link was broken on mcneels site for a while.

Anyways, now that that's straightened out, I got your plugin installed but octane crashes after opening, can see my .obj file (however it has a million diff materials).

To be fair, octane crashes anytime I open an .obj exported from 4.0

Your plugin doesnt work on 64bit 5.0? have much better success with exporting there.

Thanks,

Alexander

Fixed my problems by installing rhino v5 32bit. Can't wait till they release 5, having 3 copies of rhino installed is a bummer.

Sorry, I missed this. Yes, it should work on v5 64 bit, is this not what you are seeing?

As for the crashing on Rhino v4, can you take a screen grab of your obj export settings? There may be a misapplied setting that we can correct.

Hi Sam,

Below are the 2 errors I get. There is no version of RenderOctane installed in the 64bit version.

Also the 32bit v4 error is not really an issue, most of what I do is in 64bit as I run out of RAM in 32

OK, thanks, checking on these. What version of Octane are you running? Do you still see the crash exporting from V4 using Octane pre-Beta 2.3 v5?
