Hi Paul,
no problem, here you see that the texture placement is correct in the Rhino viewport but not in the Octane Render Viewport.
Hope that helps.
Best Regards
Nando

Do you have a Rhino6 version of the 3dm file please?

Thanks

Hi Nando - the Mix Material "Amount" pin needs the Projection set to "Mesh UV Projection" in order to use the mesh UV's.

Hi Paul,
you are right, the projection hasn't been set to Mesh UVs.
I am very sure that I didn't change anything on that afer creation and thought it must be always default.
That is strange but it seems to work correctly.
Another little thing - The Material Preview is different from the Octane material even if it is rendered by Octane.
Is this something that can be fixed or do we need to set it somewhere?
Thank you
Nando

Hi Nando. The thumbnail looks OK on my system. Do you have the Rhino->Render->CurrentRenderer set to Octane?

Paul

Yeah, the current renderer was set to Rhino.
OK, cool that helped.
Thank you Paul.
Have a great 2021 - You are the best

I'm having difficulty installing for Rhino 7 -- I receive the error "Error Starting Octane - Could not load OctaneWrapper.dll" but my graphics drivers are fully up to date.

My system specs below:

Windows 10
Intel Xeon E-2186M CUP @ 2.90Ghz
32GB ram
NVIDIA Quadro P4200 (driver date 2/27/2018, version 23.21.13.8908)

Is this a common issue?

Hi - I doubt drivers from 2/27/2018 are up to date. Does Octane Standalone run and start rendering on your system please?

Paul

Ahh thanks Paul, you're absolutely right. I had run the driver update and it had shown all drivers as updated from there, but I found a more up-to-date driver by going directly to NVIDIA. Sorry for the bother, and thanks for taking the time to respond!
