OCTANE API MSG: CUDA error 700 on device 0: an illegal memory access was encountered

Getting this renderfail constantly.
and at the worst time (of course)

Im guessing it pertains to the main standalone because i switched back to the pervious none 2020 dcc LW and the error still came up.
First time for all this.

Standalone has nothing to do with the plugin, so this issue can be a problem in the Octane 2020.2 core including with the LW plugin itself. Can you please share the scene to try to reproduce the problem here?

You could try to disable the denoising, if you have it enabled, or to enable the out of core feature to check if this could help.

I just had this problem, tried installing different drivers, fiddling with the TDR values in registry but in the end I just had to remove on of the objects from the scene and than it didn't happen anymore. I still don't know exactly what was in this object that caused.

But if you're in a hurry and the error is consistent try disabling objects one by one.

Sorry for the late reply guys, Unfortunately im currently still on red alert project mode, so i havent had time to re-install the most recent plug-in
to retrieve that error results. but trust me it was very real and completely annoying.

Currently in back in an older working version as to get my work completely in time.
When im done with this gig, hopefully by then we'll be onto yet another update preceding the current revision, and the problem sort itself out.

but just so you know. the error resulting in out right crashes. (the poof and its gone sort) it occured not just on one machine but on other with the same scene.

Seems that error has shown up in other octane plugins prior.
oh, and i was fully up to date on drivers and stuff.
