Years of animating CG cars and rendering in LW and i never noticed this issue. Not sure if it's LW or Octane. When a car wheel is sitting on the ground, it looks fine. As soon as the rotation of that tire reaches a certain speed (in this case 720 deg/sec), it appears to lift off the ground, screwing up your contact shadows and causing your car to appear to float. And if you're thinking its the tread geo, the same thing happens with no treads... Anyone notice this before? Pls. see attached image:
