Updated texture image ignored by vertex displacement node

I have an Octane Texture Image node that is using spherical projection via an Octane Projection node attached to the Projection pin. The image node is connected to the Texture pin of an Octane Vertex Displacement node, which is displacing a tessellated sphere 100 meters in diameter.

If I update the image file that's driving the displacement, I'm not seeing the updated results in the Octane IPR preview window. I've tried:

  1. clicking the "Reload" button in the IPR window
  2. changing the image in the image node to something else and then changing it back
  3. forcing the image to reload in LightWave (F6)
  4. closing and reopening the IPR window

The only thing that seems to work is completely reloading the entire scene in Layout. This is not very conducive to iterative testing. Is this a LightWave bug or an issue in OctaneRender?

I'm sorry, but I can't reproduce anything like that here. Can you share your scene and textures to take a look at it here?

Well of course now I can't reproduce the issue with a test image, and I am not keen on sharing my actual production image files (plus I'm done with that model so I'm not even working on that one anymore). I'll be doing something else with displacement in a few weeks so if I'm able to replicate the problem I'll update this thread. Thanks!
