Friends, I could personally give a rat's ass, since I have been in the process of migrating to Blender, and only waiting on Octane Blender 2.8 to fully make the switch, but I know that many of you will care.. if you haven't already heard, Vizrt has bought Newtek. They say "Us coming together is not about NewTek becoming Viz or Viz becoming NewTek. This is about building a company that sees the future of video as one based on computers, software and networks." etc, etc, but I think we've all heard that type of bs before...

Yeah, I saw this, and I almost upgraded to LW 2019. I think could be a bad thing to LW, or not. But I decided to invest in Houdini. Houdini Indie is very cheap!

hello, let's stay positive, Vizrt does not have 3D software, but develops systems for real time and video.
We can imagine that lightwave is improving and is moving towards real time and merged with Octane quality ...
