is there a way to tell Octane to NOT distort the UV's when using OpenSubdiv? It creates these weird boarder edge seems that are not visible if it were linear. And no, currently I can not use Lightwave Subdiv because of fiber fx error..... :)

yeah, i tried the different subdiv modes, didn't seem to have a noticeable effect. Basically i need a mode that is the same as Lightwaves Linear UV mode. Oh wells.. for this particular model, it won't matter as much, being its going to be covered in fur.
