Layer ID to single channels

Will there ever be the option to send each layerID to it's own individual channel in the EXR? right now, LayerID works great if you only have 3 additional Layers to isolate thru RGB, but keying out yellow and magenta to get the extra 2 ID masks is maddening if not impossible once you get DOF involved. Perhaps i am missing a technique here, but I really need to have the ability to isolate a lot of layers individually for comp and DI needs.

I know this has been floating around on other threads, but is there any future plan to write out special AOVs for open source Cryptomatte? This would give us amazing control over our renders in composite.

Have you tried using the "Render Layers" option instead? You can piece out each object into separate files and combine them in post with perfect alphas.
