HDRS NOT LOADING WHEN THEY ARE ON SYSTEM DISK

Hi All,


In my computer I have one ssd disk for system, and a second one for backup. In the ssd disk I keep also my HDRs library. I open a scene That I was working, and the Hdr was not loading.
So I tried to replicate the problem. I am using LW 2018 and the last version of octane.

I made some printscreens to demonstrate the problem. If someone is going to test the scene remember to CUT the hdr from system disk to local disk, or vice versa. If you just get the file and move, It will make a copy.
In previous versions, This was not happening.

Hmm, what a weird issue. What is the full path of the texture file in your system disk? Perhaps it has some kind of not supported international character or something like that.

If you enable the Octane log file in the plugin options panel, after rendering the failed texture perhaps an error message related to this issue could be reported on it. You can attach the log file here to check it.

Yep, I think that the problem is the "Usuário" string, perhaps it is not supported now by Octane, or there is a problem in LightWave to process this international character. LightWave had problems with this kind of characters before ...

Hi Juanjo,

I aam from Brazil, and my windows is Portuguese. But I moved my textures to the backup disk, and now I wont have problems. Thanks for your feedback.

Yes, I'm afraid that there is a problem with these international characters. You are going to need to avoid them in the texture paths.
