Light incidence angle

Hello guys,

I'm texturing a 3d model of the Earth and i would like to add night lights to the model. According to logic, I should tell octane to apply an opacity value to the night lights texture, according to the sun incidence angle on the object, is there a way to do it?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Not sure if it totally relates but I do a little fake for glass that uses the falloff texture for specular AND Opacity. I'm sure if I were to use actual THICK glass in my models refraction and absorbtion would take care of this automatically but I find for me and my time I'm good with just adding this fake.

Maybe the falloff texture for you could help in some way?
