Render Region

Is rendering "Region" supposed to render faster? Or does it just render a concentrated area at the same speed? It seems to take just as long to render the "region" as it does the whole image.

thanks,

In previous versions it was like that. If you had a scene with 1000 samples and wanted to render a region about 10% of the image, then you had to set the samples to 100 (10% of 1000).

But in last versions of Octane it´s not like that anymore. If you render a 10% of the image with 1000 samples, then it renders the region 10 x faster.

It would be nice to see a sample count that shows where the region render is at. Currently, it just stops at the value it was at when you hit the region button which isn't exactly useful. Would be nice to just let one area go and in a much shorter time figure out where you need to set your max samples to for the whole image.
