Is this plugin usable for subscription customers or only full purchases? I'm getting the following error when I attempt to enable it:
If I hit retry, it comes back after a few seconds. If I hit Sign in as a different user, Lightwave crashes. Cancel takes me back to lightwave and I can bring up the Octane Options menu and select License Management for OctaneLive. That gives me the option to activate, which if I do, crashes lightwave.
I am using Lightwave 2015.3 and upgrading from Octane 3.05 which has been running flawlessly for months. Alerts are set to HIGH.
To perform the upgrade, I uninstalled the prior version of the standalone client, deleted the plugin and menu options from LIghtwave, removed the Octane directory from C:\Program Files\NewTek\LightWave_2015.3\bin\plugins\ and the config file from C:\Users\scott\.NewTek\LightWave\2015.3\LWOctane.cfg.
Once I had scrubbed Octane from all the places I could find it, I rebooted and Installed the new version downloaded from the website. The standalone first, then the Lightwave version linked at the top of this article.
There is an error that pops up saying it can not find LWOctane.rtd but the prior version did not provide that file. I'm assuming that much like the LWOctane.cfg file that once the plugin runs successfully the first time, it'll create that file.
The standalone Octane client loads and authenticates fine and shows as activated with the proper number of days left before my subscription renewal.
