Lights and ambiant occlusion

Hello there!
I noticed something odd (maybe someone can confirm) Light seem to be taken into account by the ambiant occlusion in the direct lighting kernel. I had a box light in a stair and there was this dark area around the light, same square shape. It took me a while to realise that even with 0% opacity and/or unseen by camera, It was the light casting ambiant occlusion onto the walls.
If this is the case, any chance that could be corrected ?

Thank you!

Here it is. replacing the box light by a quad light, slightly higher, fixes the problem
