Alpha clipping instances in world space?

Hi,

I'm trying to using an image to alpha clip some instanced spheres travelling along a motion path. I want to use the alpha clip image in world space Y so that as the instances move through the clipping image they fade in. I've tried the projection node but so far each instance is being clipped individually rather than in world space.

Is this even possible with Octane or should I look for another method?

Thanks

I think that if you use the "Octane Projection" node (of course linked to the texture image node) to texture the instances, and set the projection Coordinate Space to "World Space", the texture should be fixed in world and instances shouldn't be clipped individually.

If you set the projection mode to "Local Space" is when all instances are textured individually.

Try it and let me know if it works.
