Is it now possible to implement a support for matte rendering so the Octane renderer would follow LW settings in object properties for matte color ( black or white ) and alpha channel settings ?

More or less yes. You can use 'unseen by....' and Matt Object in the object properties, in combination with alpha for rendring different passes for compositing
