I have noticed that if during a F9 render I hit pause button GPUs are still hot as hell as if they are working. I pressed pause and saved the image and then returned after 5 hours, all GPUs were really hot but there was no rendering involved because I paused it.

Yes, the problem is that for Octane light sources are also objects, so it show them in the infochannel kernels with all other scene objects. Unfortunately the flag "unseen by camera" doesn't work currently for infochannel kernel, so the only way to hide them is disable the lights in the scene editor.
