Juanjo, have you figured out yet how Visibility is going to work? I'm on the edge of my seat...

Also, is it within the realm of possibility that it could also be put into Override/Exclusion?... this could make very quick work of rendering low numbers of objects/surfaces in a complex scene...

In the next release the LW options "dissolve", "distance dissolve", "unseen by camera" and "cast shadows" are going to work with Octane like they work in LW.

Okay, now I know why region renders were not matching up when redoing chunks and popping into full images.... Vignetting... Zoinks! Be aware of this bros. If you have vignetting on for full render and go to do a region later, you are screwed, unless you can hit with layer mask in PS and blend edges like I was able to on this tweak I just did -- a render that would have taken a couple hours to fully re-render...

Juanjo, it feels like this is something that would be a major pain in the ass to address, but if it is possible (and relatively easy) to apply a cropped version of the full image's vignette, this could be very nice to have...

And Juanjo, xmas gifts (1.23) are best when given before xmas. Maybe I should put some milk and cookies out for Santa... Here you go pal. ;)

Yes, we need a native render region in Octane to fix this issues ... I hope to see it soon ;)

Near all new features of Octane 1.5 are ready inside the Lightwave plugin. I only need to work in the code to support the native motion blur (in this first stage only for the camera), and test it a bit to release a new public beta version. I hope to have it ready before the end of year.

There are deep changes in the plugin core due to the new powerful Octane API, and there is a lot of work to do yet to get the plugin ready for Octane 2.0, but now all works fine, and Octane 1.5 is going to be a nice step until 2.0 is ready ;)

Juanjo, I do not want to be a pest (more than I already have been).. I really don't.. but can give a guesstimation as to when your release candidate may be coming now?

I have been creepin' around here a lot lately.. hoping.. yearning... I see you logged in often - and I get all excited - thinking the day has finally come... :cry:

So, if it is not coming for days yet, please let us know so we (or maybe I am alone) will not make the fools errand to Octane Forums 30 times a day....

Hey Juanjo, sorry if this has been asked - I can't remember... With our visibility stuff now, is F11 (isolated object renders) something that could be implemented?.. Just temporarily make everything but current object invisible to camera, programmatically?...
