Juan, can you please see with LW Devs what hooks in SDK they can provide to reactivate that "shader ball" feature in octane, currently LW 2018--> removed shader ball form surface editor but it's optional to have that material preview in separate view port so maybe you could use that for Octane/make thumbnails form there ?
Woudl be great if you could send them Report so it's official, it's hard for us Users to send Bug/FR if we don't know where is actual limitation.
