Octane LocalDB not matching

Hi Paul,

Im using modo 15.1v2 on windows 10 with an rtx 3060.

I have an issue with the local db in octane for modo. When I launch the local db I do not see my folders like I do in the octane standalone and materials and files are missing. Ive tried the second option of loading a file by browsing for it with the modo command to 'browse' but when i import the orbx it misses out nodes ie scatter medium connected the the main material node etc.

I have the path set correct in modo preferences. When I use cinema 4d and load the local db it is the same as standalone but it doesnt seem to show the materials in modo local db.

I'm guessing youve changed the standalone localDB path from the default

(look at the path in Standalone > file > preferences > application > local DB directory)

Modo will use the "default" which is "C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\OctaneRender\localDb"

There is no modo preference to change this, but you can use the following workaround:
1. In modo start an octane render
2. In the bottom right command area, run this command: octane.showNodeGraph
3. In the octane nodegraph window, go to file > preferences > application > local DB directory, and set it to the same directory as standalone
4. Click OK (choose NO to move) and close the nodegraph window

Now if you run this command, you'll see localDB showing the new directory:
octane.importLiveDb
