An easy way to check is to make your own 6k texture and see if it's holding up in the same position. It doesn't need to be anything fancy. For instance, use a crisp, 512x512 UV check grid and tile it up to the full 6k res in Photoshop, (an easy way is to use Custom Pattern Fill), then see how that looks in place of the one you're doubting.
Just because the image is 6k doesn't mean it necessarily has that full amount of detail. It could very well have been scaled, manipulated, etc. Or it could be something about the way you've built your shader network that is degrading the source data. By using your own, known-good source image, you significantly narrow down the variables in looking for a solution.
