In c4d, you can load in a custom profile to render to 1998. Can this be done in the modo plugin does anyone know?

To extend this question a bit. What is your typical workflow for modo octane to photoshop to print? Seems like 1998 would be the way to go correct?

Thanks

Hi There,

We do print work with Octane and our workflow is to often render out .exr especially when we want render layers etc.

It's then up to the retouch dept to flip the material into whatever colour space they require.

If we render out png's (8 bit) for example I believe the render output is in the sRGB colour space. When opened in Photoshop it's opened in the Adobe 1998 space and worked there.

So I guess I'm saying we don't do anything specific on the Modo/Octane side when working for print.

Cheers
D

Thanks Faculty.

So you typically set your settings to linear / gamma 2.2? How do you work your exrs in photoshop? Or do you typically use a different program to work them in? Photoshop doesn't have much for a linear/exr workflow from what I know....

Thanks again
