I'm also looking forward to try Octane 4 Plugin, but the Standalone is still not recommended for use in production. So i think there is no need to put pressure on Paul. In my opinion it is more important that the plugin works corrects when the stable release of Octane 4 is out.
I talked to the demo artists at the OTOY booth at Siggraph a couple days ago and even they were like 'yeah, Octane has to be more stable' (paraphrasing)....so not a huge rush on this.

Totally agree. All major 3d software have a working plugin for Octane4: Max, Maya, Blender, Cinema4D, Houdini, Lightwave... except Modo. It's frustrating, especially because the denoiser in Octane4 would probably help with rendertimes of my current job. I really hope to have news and a build to test very soon.
