Hide all from OctaneRender Viewport except selected?

Is this possible in Octane, to work the same as the Modo renderer.

ie: to select an item and 'shift-h' to hid all except selected, and isolate that item in the renderer?

Yes, assign the current Mesh item Render Layer to 2, then enable Render Layer and set the Active Layer to 2 (in the Octane Render Passes panel).

Thanks Paul, that works great if we're wanting a masking solution. I was talking more along the lines of literally making all items 'invisible' (not visible in the 'display-->visible' option) except for those selected.

With the modo renderer 'shift-h' will remove all other items from the renderer but seems to have no effect in the octane render viewport.

When you use the Ctrl/Shift-h command, this changes the render visibility in the Modo renderer, but this state change is not available from the SDK, so unfortunately it is not possible for the Octane plugin to support this feature.

Argh.. another SDK limitation. I did find a Modo plugin which has the same effect for the Octane IPR- called 'solo'. This literally hides all items except those selected with a single click or keystroke. Only for Modo 10+ unfortunately as I use 902. Still, for anyone else needing this functionality, Solo looks like it does this well.
