Problem with Stencil Conversion

When I bring in a JPEG, and I have to use it as an Opacity map, or Stencil in modo terms, it wont convert on the fly. Is there a reason for this? Am I using the wrong image format or something?

So what I have to do is convert it to an octane override, then it puts the correct map in the opacity slot, but its an alpha image, then it doesn't work. If I make a RGB image, then just reapply the exact same pins, it works.

Am I doing something wrong? Would be great to be done with Octane overrides!

Thanks!

Almost forgot, Modo 902 sp3 OctaneRender 3.06 TEST 4 (3060003)

sure. Here you go. I even showed how I converted it to an octane override and it still didn't work.

Also attached a shot of how the rgb image does work then.

Thanks

Your stencil is a JPG - which the Octane plugin assumes does not have an Alpha channel. But you have Alpha Channel = Use for that image. So change Alpha Channel to Ignore, and it works.
