Render problem - mesh looks broken

I've finally got to the stage where I have everything animated. This model have been referenced twice, because they wanted two of it in the scene.
It looks fine in the scene while in the viewport. But in render it breaks up.

So I removed the second reference to see if that had anything to do with it, but it didn't, and now I'm totally lost. What's going on here?
Any way I can send you the scene in private?

I think there must be something bugged with either Modo or Octane. Numerous restarts and loading the scene, it finally renders as it should.
This project is getting on my nerves!

You haven't stated what version of Modo or the plugin you are running, so it is very hard to help you.

I am not aware of any mesh issues with 3.6.5.118. Are you using the Modo Render Cache? It is very buggy, so make sure it is turned off. If you have continued problems, pls send me the scene.

Nope, it's switched off.

Right now the biggest issue is the second reference of the plane won't render at all.
I even tried deleting the reference of the plane closest to the camera, the plane in the back still won't render. Only at random times after a number of restarts of modo does it render, but only untextured.

If I reference the object again, importing only materials, modo will crash.

I'll pack it and send you the scene.
