Refreshing Octane Geometry

Hey there, i have a little problem:

I have a animated Camera and one animated mesh. If i click on the Playbutton i can scrubb trough my timeline without a n interuption. But if i click on render animation there is a progress bar which says that the geometry gets updated. I have ticket Camera Motion Blur and Object Motion Blur. I thought this would tell modo to load the whole timeline. Since this is very time consuming, Is there a way to prevent this to happen?

Tank you in advance!

Hi - do you perhaps have "Reload Mesh Each Frame When Animating" ticked on the Live meshes? If not - can you send me the scene pls?

Thanks

hello guys, I'm using this post for the opposite problem.
I have a scene where is only the camera to moving, MODO should refresh only the camera movement, but every frame it reload all the geometry and spend a lot of time!

All the meshes have the option "live geometry update" disable.
Another strange point is that in my kernel option there isn't the option to load all the animation in octane, to avoid this timing lost (see attached).
Thank you for your explanation.

Can you pls update to the latest version of the plugin, and if the problem persists, let me know.

Hello Paul,

Thank you

My apologies, I see now you are on the latest version.

Ticking Camera Motion Blur should resolve your issue.

"Load All Frames Into Octane" has been renamed to "Object Motion Blur" (this is in the release notes, but I need to update the manual).

Hallo Paul thank you for you answer.
Unfortunately it looks as it isn't work.
First I try to render with Camera Motion Blur enabled, then with Object motion blur and at least with only Object Motion Blur but still every frame it "Refreshing Octane Geometry".

I repeat, no one geometry is moving, is only the camera moving and in this way I'm wasting a lot of time.

Thank you so much!

Hi, if you have ticked Camera Motion Blur, and all Mesh items have Live Geometry Update UNTICKED, and Reload Mesh Each Frame When Animating is UNTICKED, then the geometry should not reload between frames. If these settings are not working for you, could you pls send me your scene, and I will investigate further.
