Help achieving this light/medium effect

I have some difficulties achieving this light effect, see image, and wanted to ask for some help. I have been experimenting with environment medium and medium radius, tried with a cube covering the entire scene with a medium material but I don't really get there! Probably some settings that I don't use correct or? The image is a quick Modo-render!

Set the Medium Radius to something big (like 100m)
Drag the Environment Medium onto the schematic and attach a Scatter node to it. Set the Scatter color to white, Absorption to black, then try a scattering density of 0.1.

There are probably users here with much better settings. It depends a lot how much light is in the scene, and the direction the light is coming from.

Hi and thanks for the answer, I think I start to grasp this!
I've got some of the effect with the environment medium as you described, need to experiment more, but did also realized that I got that effect in Modo because I had volumetrics on the light not in the environment. Tried to mimic the settings from Modos light but with a mesh sphere around the light with a "medium material" and the same radius as the volumetric sphere on the Modo pointlight and got the same effect!

Thanks for the help...
