Couple questions about plugin

hello, I'm an Octane/LW owner looking to switch to Modo. I've downloaded the plugin but I had a couple questions.
1. Does the plugin support Modo's particles?
2. Does the plugin support animation from the new procedural modeling tools.
I created a simple sphere and animated the bevels using the procedural bevel tool and since I can't render animations using the demo I could not see if this works. Thanks for any info

1. Does the plugin support Modo's particles?
Do you mean particles as a source? Octane needs a mesh to be connected to the Modo particle. So for example, a particle simulation used as the source to a Replicator will work. If the particles make up a blob type object, you would need to polygonize the particles to a mesh (there is a tool - emPolygonizer, which you can purchase to do this).

2. Does the plugin support animation from the new procedural modeling tools.
This should work (although you would turn Object Motion Blur off to ensure the mesh is reloaded each frame).

ok cool, particles/replicators work.
So moblur is out when using procedural animation? Is that a Modo API issue?

Any form of vertex motion blur needs to be done by exporting the animation to ORBX/OCS and rendering in Standalone (this is as simple as typing octane.saveAnimation). This is due to the way Modo works - where it is not providing the vertex velocities required for vertex motion blur inside the plugin.

According to one of the Foundry developers, the ability to access vertex motion blur should be available. Was wondering if there were any plans for putting this feature into the plugin.

Apologies, It looks like I stated Vector rather then vertex. I will continue to inquire about this on the foundry boards.
