Modo LiveDb empty materials

Hi!
First of all congratulations for this amazing plug-in.
I'm having some struggles trying to load the livedb materials, i searched the forum but it seems nobody is having this problem
i followed the instructions found on the forum, meaning i downloaded the zip files, gave octane the path to the folder containing the 'images', then pasted the command who started an internal download.
When i open the live db and load any material, the material is completely empty when i open it with the octane node editor.
Am I doing something wrong?
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Hi - the correct process to follow is documented at https://docs.otoy.com/Modo/?page_id=909

then pasted the command who started an internal download
This shouldn't be needed - since the process above should provide with the full LiveDB from 6 months ago.

Hi Paul,
did the procedure again but nothing really changed, materials are still empty.
Both folders are ok with correct files and locations... any other suggestion?
thanks

Hi - can you post a screenshot of the Modo->Preferences->Octane screen, the Windows Explorer folder where you put the LiveDb texturemaps, the Modo Preset window (F6) showing the LiveDb materials, and your Shader Tree and Schematic after loading and selecting a LiveDb material.

Thanks

I cannot see the LiveDb material in the Shader Tree. Are you rightclicking the Presets windows and selecting Load to load the LiveDb material into the Shader Tree? Dragging from the Presets window won't work (appears to be an odd Modo bug). This is covered in the manual at https://docs.otoy.com/Modo/?page_id=909.

The live db material gets renamed once I drag it into the shader I want to apply it to.
Yes I load it with right click > load
It puts it at the base of the shader tree with the right name.

If you open the material prior to dragging it into the material group are the nodes there? Or missing? Have you at any point run the "octane.command downloadLiveDb" command, or are the presets directly from the ZIP file contined in the Modo LiveDb manual page?

I tried to install the presets manually and also with the download string, both were unsuccessful
the material is empty since i load it, even before dragging into the shader

I am sorry - I am baffled as to what the problem is. Would it be possible to have a Skype call where you share your screen? Then I can see first hand what might be causing the issue.
