Just a quick question, does Octane render deforming meshes, aka meshes deformed by bones?

Cheers, Simon

 Octane is just a renderer, it render what you give to him

If your alembic file is an animated geometry then yes it will render deformed geometry.
And if you use a Octane plugin in your 3D software that could update geometry then it will render them too.

Maybe you should read manual and use octane to know what can be done XD.

Wel, thank you for your reply Ludovic.

Apparently, Octane will render deformed meshes, if the 'Load All Frames Into Octane' is switched off.
