2015 - I purchased 2.x OCTANE/C4D combo licence.
2016 - purchased the upgrade from 2.x to 3.x
2018 august - purchased houdini plugin licence
2018 november - got the free upgrade to 4.x
2018 december - purchased OctaneRender All-Access Pass(1 year)
2019 december is when my maintenance plan ends and i since 2018.x/2019.x is not backwards compatible with Octane 4, i cant use my files unless i get another maintenance plan for 199/349€.
And next year its gonna be the same shit unless i get maintenance extension since i don't have a Enterprise Box License.

this is my concern as well... i own 4 v4 licenses and basically im stuck with them unless i either 500EUR for each to have an upgrade to perpetual 2020 or 200EUR to have just one year..so if I want to use the new files after one year..im gonna be screwed unless I pay more... or I pay the 500EUR for perpetual...to which im also screwed if in the future octane changes to the point that previous working files will not be compatible as well as they state right in the first post...

Im at an impasse dont know what to do :(.

Their licencing has been a shitshow since last year. I am all for purchasing yearly maintenance plans but only if i'm able to use the latest version in that maintenance period. Last years upgrade should've been like that. Now they are pretty much holding out files hostage. They should've just used Redshifts licencing system.

Could you access the 399 Euros upgrade page? I am having issues to get there.

Nice update but.... like the introduction of 2019 and 2018... I don't understand what should I do with my current V4 License.... It's crazy to create such a simple renderer as Octane ( compared to Redshift and others) and create a confusing price list....

What should I do to go from V4 perpetual for C4D to 2020 for C4D (I don't use Standalone) ?
Is it a simple maintenance extension for 199$ ? an upgraded perpetual license for 499$ or a monthly subscription for 20$ ?

And is there something as redshift that give you access to all plugins at once (c4d, houdini, etc) ?

Thanks.

Just be sure you're not using the PMC Kernel.

No I'm using Path Tracing mainly, occassionally Direct Lighting.

Here is a screenshot of what I see on every single scene I have, even ones created from scratch.

Thought it was a driver issue, so now I'm on 441.28 Studio Driver. but the issue is still present.

All the scenes I'm trying denoise fine on 2019.2 XB2...

I don't think there is a 199€ path from v4 to 2020. It states on the page "Maintenance extensions require upgrading from an existing active, non-expired maintenance plan or Enterprise All Access pass."

Right now we only have 2 options for v4 to 2020 permanently, which are (499€ with 1-year maintenance) and (699€ 2-year maintenance).

TBH I rather stick with V4 with a net render option, but I can't get it without an "all access pass" and DCC plugins I don't need.

I can't "rent" with the studio option because it has a 2 GPU limit.

This is way too confusing and extremely pricey IMHO.

Looks like RTX is not enabled, please make sure you have a driver installed of at least the versions mentioned at the beginning of the release post.

Hi! Denoising is working find on my machine :

No it's not, might be on one of those silly vectron things, but not on geometry or hair.... I've tried many scenes, each using different features - no denoising is happening.

Are you sure you are using 2020 ?

Yes. I'm sure...

Can you share your setup (including screenshot of your devices manger window) via PM and any scene that can be used to reproduced the issue?

Thank you.
