This is only for people who haven’t upgraded in years though. If you bought AA for 1 year we give you a discount for the upgrade and if you got 2 years of AA then your upgrade to 2020.x perpetual is completely free. Also free for anyone who bought V4 with AA in the last six months.

Otherwise you can get the identical full version now for low monthly price with the new rentals we added.

Hi Goldorak,

first of all congrats on new beta, some features from that 2020.1 list really sound and look great. Thanks to DEVs for great work (and fast).

Now onto licensing, i have few questions which are confusing:

1. What version do i have currently, I have v4 enterprise + I payed 1 year AA last year (for all 3 of my licenses). Do i have 2019.x perpetual now or i still fall back to v4 if i don't pay more now ?
2. If i pay additional 199 (per license i.e. 600 EUR in my case) will i get 2020.x perpetual+1 year maintenance (WEB says perpetual+1 year maintenance but some of replies and prices here are confusing so please clarify)
3. Please consider BlackFriday discount for extended time until licensing confusion is clarified 'coz i see lot of users are confused with licensing/pricing.
4. What happens to octane 2019.2 and RTX support, when will all plugins be ready ?

Thanks

Hi,
Where can we find more information about the hydra integration with houdini. From what i understand this is not really part of the classic houdini plugin. You need the octane/ hydra plugin and the octane/houdini plugin working together.
Hydra plugin is available now with this particular release?

Will I be able to use the new Octane features with this ?

Aslo, any ETA for the C4D Plugin ? This release is really cool

OTOY team, can you please post a sample file for those Vectron Volume screenshots? I can't figure out how its done.

Otoy will generally listen to its users who invest in product development? Give us normal licenses, give us working plugins. Otherwise, you will lose customers, your reputation will drop. :?

With 2018.x Otoy said you could buy All-Access for 1-year, or 3-years.
Some users bought the 1-year plan and now it went beyond that 1 year.
So instead of renewing to the next year, users are negotiating with Otoy, saying they only want to pay for the 1-2 plugins that they use, and not for the whole 'All-Access', such that the pricing should be pro-rated such that a user pays for only the plugin they use.

My personal take on this is that Anime Kernel and Polarized Lighting never made it out of the drawing board....FULL REFUND!!!!

It’s for the people that use the octane plugin for cinema 4d, not a cinema 4d plug-in for octane. If you are not using cinema 4d this means nothing to you.

I'm guessing that Otoy is not legally allowed to say much about it until the new Mac Pros actually ship. Until then, sit back and add some more rum to your eggnog.
