The most important thing actually was that displacement overall doesn't work in 2019, as in if you do, say, set a texture displacement in 2018, and then set the same in 2019, the 2018 works and resets the render correspondingly when you modify any values, but not the 2019 one....so it's like the 2019 appears broken.

Thanks!

I created a new scene and applied displacement to a geo prmitive, and it does yes work normal.
Hmmm...maybe there is something scene specific in my case, perhaps imported-FBX related.
I will investigate on my end further, thanks for pointing out, I should have tried a simple scene first!

Hi Divasoft,

This is only for subscriptions the access not for Octane 4 licenses basically we had before just a early access for 2018 beta until realize now to access all new Octane Dev you need subscription. For me is working Fine :) cause I have subscription.

A couple of tests with the new camera. Love the bokeh.

And since I'm very shamelessly asking for stuff, can we have custom bokeh shapes. Pleeeaaaseeee :D

Hi Guys,

Thank you very much for such great features, I love it the new round edges and displacement so far so great.
Here a scene I have one issue Octane crashes when I use Motion Blur with Displacement .

funny thing is I can see is working :) cause sometimes I can preview the result and is not bad at all.

Anyway thanks again!!!

Cheers,
JO

So I am seeing some displacement anomalies even with just a primitive created in 2019.
When I set a .tiff file as Texture Displacement image, it works.
When I set it as a Vertex Displacement, it works but weird, just moves the planes of the box without resulting in any displacement detail.
Then, if I set a Vertex mixer, and then set the texture as a Texture displacement in the first level, it doesn't work at all.

The new displacement is great. Thank you for finally adding that. Uploaded a video to twitter showing the new displacement.
