Is that, "yes, it's ok to ask", "yes, Octane 4 will be released this year", or "yes, Octane 2018 will be released this year".
Or all of the above, or a combination...? :D

If Otoy wants to just skip the rest of V4 and jump into Beta testing of V5, I am fine with that

Octane 4 stable and first test builds (and hopefully some release candidates) of Octane 2018 will be released this year. The aim with 2018 is to stabilize it as quickly as possible to avoid the delays we had with getting version 4 ready for production.

Hi. Do you plan to make a custom bokeh like in Corona?

Why Corona? I find that Tuborg makes much better bokeh.

I have three suggestions for the Toon render.

1. Could you make it so that we have the option to use textures in side the 'Toon diffuse ramp'. Now we can only use colors (float), but a texture would be very useful here.

2. Could the 'Toon Diffuse Ramp' not only work on 'shading' but also on the shadows color (so an options shadows included maybe?) (this is how ramp-shaders in other packages work and is the most logical way in my opinion). (In the images I attached, the left one is the one I would want to make, the right one is the one octane lets me make).

3. Could you put the 'north offset' in the Toon direction light (just like in the normal sun direction). That would be great.

Thanks!
