Power Tools from 2.49 to 2.5x (HELP)

Hi , I'm using the official script of Octane Render Power Tools to export the blender camera to an TXT file to be loaded in that program, the official script is working fine in 2.49 but not in 2.5x, could somebody have a look to that script to see if it's possible to migrate to 2.5x???, here's the file:

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I know OPT say they're releasing a 2.5 exporter soon. To be honest, I was going to buy OPT when this came out, as this could mean anytime... but my brother (very experienced programmer) has offered to translate the code to work with 2.5x if I send him this 2.49 script. Since you've posted it up, I'll forwarded it on to him to look at. Apparently, its not difficult, so I'll see what he says...

Watch this space.

Great ockelford, by the way... there's some advance in the 2.5 script, but I think still need some extra work, so you can review the 2.5 code on this thread:

Thanks for that, I'm really busy with a project at the mo, but I'll be needing this myself in a week or so for an upcoming animation. My brother seems to think its very straightforward, but he's still too busy to set to on it. I'll be getting onto him next week. Haven't had chance to check the script myself, but will do in a few days too.

The one thing I think would be useful would be a button to run the script and a box to insert the output path and text file name, I'll see if he can sort this. Any other ideas, while I'm asking him, I imagine one button is as easy to add as 3!

R

PS - Sorry about the delay, it'll hopefully be done soon.

looks like waiting for them paid off. We got a little way into it ourselves, but they've released their own now anyway, official and supported.

Hi guys !
:)

Just received a commercial e-mail talking about Octane Power Tools (http://www.octanepowertools.com)
I didn't know it existed... :?

Has anyone here bought it?
Is it "approved" by Refractive Software?
Is it stable? (I might use it for animation with Blender and Sketchup)

Thanks in advance for replying...

It did have a bit of success when it came out. Quite a few bought it.
I think it works as advertised.
There was some problem apparently a few months ago with the coder pocketing money for it instead of passing it to his employer or something like that. Not sure if that was resolved. I had understood actually it was no longer available
Maybe it just disappeared off the radar.
I dont think it is 'approved' for use by Refractive now for that reason and some other conflicts over advertising but Refractive are heading toward tighter integration that does much the same thing and more with their plugins like Octane for Max.
Interesting to know how they got your email address.
Probably OK though

Thanks for replying
;)

Well... I guess I could wait a bit for the Octane Plugin, so I don't have to spend money on it...
:?

Really looking forward to being able to export animation quickly!
:D

Cheers !
