Why is macOS plugin still being developed?

Good evening (o;

What is the reason that the macOS version is still being maintained/developed?

There is/maybe never will be a NVidia driver available for recent macOS version like 10.4.x and 10.5.x...

Or is there something we don't know yet?

Blackmagic Design also lists DaVinci Resolve studio as being runnable on 10.4.x upwards with latest NVidia drivers...which just don't exist...

thanks for clarification

A small population of users still use High Sierra or Sierra with Octane.

CUDA version will probably end when Nvidia stops supporting High Sierra, but there is Octane X round the corner with the support for OSX Metal. This will open the possibility to run Octane on most of Apple hardware even iPads.

But sadly most Apple hardware lack the availability of powerful graphic cards (o;

Well I do anyway most of 3D blender on Linux now...sadly no 2019.1.1 20.3 version yet to try....

My Mac will then mostly do regular graphics with Affinity and video rendering using DaVinci Resolve Studio...

You can use third party powerful GPUs in eGPU enclosures or in Mac Pro's. No one tells you to use Apple hardware only:
