Hello, I installed latest Octane for Blender and Octane server but whenever I launch OctaneServer it returns- Error activate Octane Engine: Could not activate. OctaneRender Studio works fine. I reinstalled it several times, tried different versions but no luck. Is there any way to make it work without system reinstall? Thanks

I have tried 2018.1 - 17.0 and 4.01.1 - 16.3.1 none of which worked for OctaneServer. Blender works just fine.

There's an issue that with the latest version of the blender plugin which would not activate unless there's an already existing session on your machine.

Until a new version gets released which this fix which will happen soon, you need to authenticate either using an older version or Octane Standalone.

Thanks for reply! I still can't make it work, i tried 15.3.4 version with standalone running fine. Can you please explain step by step what to download/launch in order to make it work please.

OctaneServer returns "could not activate" but I see it running as a process in task manager. Blender says "Render-server at adress "127.0.0.1 is not activated"

My problem is resolved, thanks for answering
