How do we view noise map for Adaptive Sampling?

In Stand Alone you simply check the noise pass and can view progress of adaptive sampling in order to fine tune settings if necessary.

How to we do the same in Octane Blender?

Hi,

The next version of Blender will include the latest 3.07 Octane Core, Blender 2.79, and some exciting new features. I am currently looking into the Adaptive Sampling feature for Blender - when it gets implemented into an upcoming build will depend on priority relative to other works in progress. We are in a good position right now, so you can expect to see Adaptive Sampling in the near future (ideally, by the version after the next one).

Cheers,
Azen

Thanks for the update Azen. But I'm a little confused. We already do have Adaptive Sampling in Blender right now with the 3.06.4 Octane Engine v12.2. build, and Blender 2.78.

What I was asking about is how (or if it is yet possible) to generate a noise pass for the Adaptive Sampling in Blender as we can currently do in Stand Alone?

Yes we have adaptive sampling already. It is the noise pass and others that are missing in blender plugin.
CPU – i9 13900KF, 128GB RAM, GPU – RTX 4090
System – Windows 11

Hi,

Apologies, I was overly vague with my wording. The implementations for improving Adaptive Sampling are being evaluated for their complexity and scope, compared to the other features (and improvements) that are currently in progress. To an extreme end, it may require a refactoring of the feature (though this shouldn't be the case, based on early signs).
