I noticed that you have re-included Cycles into the plugin, which is awesome by the way! :D It's going to make it so much nicer to do texture baking and material conversion. Do you have plans on allowing Cycles to use the GPU? Or is that a by-product of the plugin? Thanks,

Jason

Hi all,

Things have been going well so far with Blender plugin development, with more still to come!

However, we have identified some issues regarding how Blender interacts with the Standalone. It appears that we may require updates to the Octane Standalone in order to get around these new issues. We sincerely apologize for this recent delay - we are working hard to get past this, as we have quite a growing list of fixes and improvements that we want to get into your hands asap.

Cheers,
Azen

Hi all,

Happy New Year to everyone!

Just to reiterate - we are still in the middle of a feature freeze, owing to urgent updates required for the OctaneRender Standalone.

To provide a little more detail on the matter - it is possible that we may be moving directly 3.08, rather than an updated 3.07. There are a number of awesome new features that will be possible due to the 3.08 update, so hopefully these will be worth the extra wait time. I will let you know more as the information comes.

Cheers,
Azen

Hi Azen, thanks for update!
Is it possible you release the stable 3.07 with all reported bug fixes? After this you may move to 3.08 when it is stable too. Now we feel like beta testers with no real stable fixed release since the beginning.

Hi all,

Unfortunately, this is out of our hands until the aforementioned fixes are made. We apologize for the inconvenience. We have the team fully committed to resolving the current issues on hand, and will proceed with release as soon as possible.

Cheers.

Hi all,

We are still awaiting the greenlight from the Core Development Team, after which we can resume with our release schedule.

Thank you for continuing to report issues with the current version. We will continue to refine and improve our current work in progress as best we can for when we can put our new build through to you all.

Cheers,
Azen
