i have just purchased a EVGA GTX 1080 ftw 8gb, and it is very slow when rendering in Octane Render Blender.
I have rendered the exact same scene in Blender Octane Edition_11.1_2.78 (with newest server), with my EVGA "Superclocked" GTX 670 4GB and the new EVGA GTX 1080 FTW 8gb.
The GTX 670 was way faster, i stopped the 1080 before it was finish, so i dont know... maybe the 1080 was a better render, but i was only noticing the speed.
But am i wrong for hoping that the 1080 should be faster than 670?
May be there is something i am not aware of a driver or some setting in Blender, i have installed Nvidia driver: 375.70-desktop-win10-64bit-international-whql.
When i opened Octane 3, it said no Cudas...?!
EDIT: i have updated Octane render standalone to 3.04, and now my gpu/cuda is showing
EDIT EDIT: ok, i have tested some more, 1080 is faster than 670 but not that much i was hoping for more
