Can you please check if you have the "livedb" folders created in "Program Files\OctaneServer" and in the folder containing your opened .blend file?

Hi Jim. No livedb folder in "Program Files\OctaneServer", but there's one in the folder where I got the .blend file with the following subfolders:
-livedb
--127.0.0.1
---previews
---textures
However, they're all empty. Thanks for replying :D

Hey LIVEDB very great :).

Same thing here!
No Preview in DB-Library.
It would also be helpful to have informations about the size of the material in upcoming versions.

Maybe importend: What does BlenderOctane do when opening the standard-startup-file?
It trys to make the live-db-folders in the startup-file-location on my drive right?

After i saved a file to an other directory (Desktop) the livedb folder was made. But all subfolders are empty.

Seems that octane server tryed to download all thumbnails on 1st start-time. Creating a directory didnt work because the standard-startupfile-path, and now after creating a new file it needs to download again?

I've got the 'Waiting For Image' error, unfortunately, I've tried both the 1.6 builds linked in the downloads area and the ones at the top of this thread, I have put in my Octane Blender Live username and password, but basically when I render it just says 'Waiting For image' then when I cancel render, annoyingly the login details dissapear and I have to constantly put them in after everything I try and do to get it working. I even tried (very temporarily) turning off my firewall and this didn't seem to make any difference. - Does it take a while for my credentials to be setup on the Octane central/LiveDB server or something? As I only purchased the license about 2 hours ago (but it does say status paid and I have the login details o_O).

Any help is very much appreciated as I am very excited to get this working.

Win 7 64

i7

GTX 260 (I hope that't not the issue (though I am getting a new gfx card soon - it runs Octane Standalone ok though)

Look please to Blender system console (menu "Window/Toggle System Console"). Do you see some messages appearing after sending login-password to the server?..

it keeps on saying this:

'Octane: WARNING: only node-textures are supported
Octane: WARNING: only node-textures are supported
Octane: WARNING: only node-textures are supported'

but I have the octane materials available from the dropdown (though the preview isn't working)

I'm only trying to render from the default 'cube' scene and I didn't add any shader other than octanes ones

OK I have just managed to get the LIveDB pane to open fully with all the Octane Materials in it, is the problem that i haven't 'assigned' a material from there?

I don't think so though because in the manual it says it's ok to use the dropdown based material options in the right pane, and when I go into node editor windows the octanerender nodes are there
