Sketchup plugins do not save settings

I've updated the plugins to the latest version 3.08.1 but it still give me the same problem.
I created few scene tabs as instructed and assigned materials to objects. When I reopen my file, some of the materials were saved but some were not.
Some object even lost its 'material out' link. I've to reassign the materials to the objects several times again and again to the same scene of job.
Hope you can help to solve this problem.

Thanks
Kenji

The latest stable version in my opinion is 3.04.5 https://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=57660

If you still find the plugin unstable, you could try exporting your scene to *.ocs/*.orbx and work in standalone (the renderwindow has to be active for the export option to work).

Personally I do not like exporting since all the settings get exported time and time again. For standalone better to have a setup and just update a single OBJ file, but this doesnt work with sketchup scince the scene splits up.

You might find all this complicated and the plugin unfinished, if so, ask for a refund. (I keep using an older version because my company have not taken the descision to switch to vray yet)

Hi Kenji,
please, share a scene via PM with me that is giving you issues.
We are unable to reproduce the issue here, and the faster why to solve it, is to have a scene that shows the issue for sure.

Hi there,

I have the same problem.

All material settings modified in Octane will disappear once I close the window of Octane render in Sketchup. I can't export the scene either.

Is there any way to save the material settings?

Thanks

Paul

Hi, I've attached a sample below. I've to redo the material assigning again and again.
But then, I've just realised it was when I modified or make changes to the sketchup file, the settings in octane will reset to default.

Can you share the file with the dev’s via PM?

This has been reported ages ago....

For me it's somehow better when I only use "Colors-Named" in SU.
You can try that...

I'm still having this issue with 3.08.1 and 4.00.04

When adjusting an auto converted texture in the octane interface by adding a texture emission, then close and reopen the octane window and the material adjustments are lost.

I found a workaround. I can DM an example scene if helpful.
