probably a noob question - but can one use the graph view to automatic output different info passes like z-depth and material id?

thanks

Hi,

Are you referring to producing separate images for every render pass like how, say, 3ds Max does it?

hi azen

sorry if i'm vague in my explanation - i'm not used with the technical terms.

if i render in 3ds max - i can add render elements, and they are automatic rendered when i render the 'normal' render.

i wonder if the same is possible using sketchup.

Ah. . . adding render elements in that manner isn't available at the moment. This will be one of the things added in along with the nodal approach and other parts of that feature set once we have the Mac port stable. Apologies for that, we will add it to the list - a list we look forward to chopping away soon

hi azen

i first started using octane with sketchup, but because of all the flaws, i changed to revit / 3dsmax.
but for the last project, i used sketchup, and it was a joyful - sketchup is just so easy, that one can use the time to be creative, and not use time on figuring out how to be creative.

i'm really looking forward for you to give the sketchup plugin some LOVE.

thanks

Hi,

There has been a lot of work put into getting Mac users on a level playing field before pushing through major feature additions. Apologies for what has been a difficult process for all. I can assure you, cold comfort though it may be, that hands are far from idle when it comes to progressing this plugin to the point where we can push out the features that the community needs.

Thank you for your diligence on this forum, and our utmost apologies for this waiting period. With the latest build released today, hopefully some of your issues have been adequately addressed.
