Hello

I have the same problem. Windows 10, Sketchup 2014 and the latest octane render plugin. The moment I start the plugin, Sketchp crashes. I did all possible role-backs. No change. Has anybody an idea what else this cold be? I am kind of desperate here..

thx

Windows 10 is almost 6 months old now. Captain Crowbar, could you please give this issue some priority?
Best,
Seeker

Had the same issue with win 10, uninstalled a windows security update and now octane for skp works again, the windows update auto installs every couple of hours though.

I would suggest blocking the update to prevent Win10 automatically applying it in the future.
Bocking a specific update: http://www.howtogeek.com/?p=223864

You can also prevent all 'automatic updating' by setting your main connection as a 'Metered connection'...
http://www.howtogeek.com/224471/how-to- ... g-updates/

That should get you going until the issue with Win10 : kb3132372 is resolved... (FWIW, its my opinion this is a M$ issue, rather than a Captain issue... but I'll let him investigate and confirm)

EDIT: We'll make Win10 your B!tȼh yet!

We're aware of this issue and are looking into it now.

Microsoft's notes on kb3132372 mention a possible fix:

"We are aware of limited application crashes that occur after this security update is installed on Windows 10. To resolve this issue, install update 3133431."

If you have 3132372 installed and are seeing this problem, please try installing 3133431 and let us know if that helps.
