Octane won't render

Hi

I've just got this problem today.

When I open the Octane window, nothing happens :-/

I have tried both repair and reinstall the octane plugin, and removed all other plugins from
C:\Users\bre\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 2014\SketchUp\Plugins

The standalone version and 3ds max plugin runs fine.

Does anyone know what might be the problem?

Hi Jorgensen,

Don't panic, help is on the way :D

1) Could you please send me a couple of recent log files?
They are here:
C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\Octane\SketchUp\logs

2) And could you please export scene to .ocs/.orbx? To export, open Octane Viewport and then in Sketchup Select Plugins -> Octane -> Export to .ocs

You can attach needed files here or in PM. I'll check what might be wrong.

Thanks!

Hi Jorgensen,

I'm going to check it right now.
Based on the logs everything is initialized and should work fine.

Did you manage to run Octane for Sketchup previously? Demo version or different SU version?
As a quick check, could you disable firewall and try launching Sketchup again?

Hi fuzzybro

I have been able to run the same octane for sketchup fine before . I have to tried to deactivate via octane menu, but the deactivate but the button is somehow grayed out.

What was the change that made it stop working? Updated to a new version?

When you press "Deactivate" it takes some time to actually do the deactivation.

Also, could you please open octane materials window? Is it working?

Hi Fuzzybro

I can open materials window, and it works just fine.

I've got a new router, that might be the problem?

Can't deactive even if I wait very long.

I can add that both the standalone and the 3ds max plugin works fine.

Hi Fuzzibro

I forgot to mention that I installed Sketcup 2014, while still having Sketchup pro 8 installed.

I just opened Sketchup pro 8, and the Octane plugin works just fine in here, but again I can't select deactivate :-/

Wow, that's super weird.

Ok, try deleting license.cfg file located in C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Documents\Octane\SketchUp
and then deactivating SU license in your Customer Area page http://render.otoy.com/account/octanelive.php
This will help you to deactivate.

As for rendering issue, wait for new build, I'll prepare it this week, it might solve some problems.
