Hi

Just to say, the exporter and Octane have got me out of jail recently its with their speed and quality of renders (even on my poor old Geforce 8600GT!!)

I hav a couple of questions, pleae forgive me if thay have been answered before. Some may also really be for the developers of the engine but you may know also

1. Is there going to be an option to export all camera positions into Octane

2. Will Octane eventually allow multiple cameras to be created and stored

3. Will the exporter and engine support instances - ome scenes with multiple compunetnts (such as chairs in an assembly hall) can take a long time to export.

Regards

Scoob

2. Will there be a function to create cameras in octane

1. & 2.
Setting/saving a cameras in the OCS - or better - saving 'sets' of things like camera-settings or lighting-setups would be very useful addition in future versions of Octane...
In the future if we could save several camera-sets in the OCS then I could either change the exporter or make another tool to export and insert these 'sets' into the OCS - perhaps in a similar way that I recently made a tool to re_path a copied OCS file to suit its new name or location and then still work retaining any copied-over material settings etc...

3.
The exporter already exports 'instances' but each one is treated separately. If the OCS could support importing several instances of a component then future versions could perhaps be adjusted to suit - I'll think about it...

While this is less than helpful to you I hope that these kind of ideas do get incorporated in future versions... :geek:
