It [hopefully] addresses an issue raised by a non-EN locale user whereby the material.texture names were not being returned as displayed in the SKM but as the Browser 'translated' names, BUT the SUp API texturewriter was using the original 'English' name - this meant that the OBJ/MTL file used the 'locale' based names for the materials and the MTL looked for a .jpg/.png image with that name... but the SUp API texturewriter made the exported texture's image with it's original 'English' name: this meant that the MTL couldn't find the expected image as the names didn't [always] match and so no texture was applied... The fix now ensures that the texturewriter's image-name matches the one used in the MTL image-path. :o

All users should upgrade to this version.

Feedback please...

It's not flawless yet,,, I still have some PM reports of some locale language weirdness... but we must be getting nearer a solution !

Hey,

I just gave it a spin on my office system: Windows 7 x64 with Google Sketchup 7.16860 (free version).
I first removed the old plugin, made sure all files were removed from the plugins folder that i added with the last plugin,
then extracted the contents of this version in the plugins dir, and opened the sports hall model again. (the same one i mailed you)

As you can see, it's not all %100 yet ;)

There are various textures that don't make it into octane, and also there's some geometry missing in the blue front window,
aswell as the fact that the corrugated iron material (which you can see in the screenshot of the node inspector, and the black arrow points to it),
is a glossy material with a very low roughness, making it almost a perfect specular mirror.
I think you should make defaults for the glossy material much more rough, like 0.005.

I'm still getting the error when i launch the plugin, i just hit ignore and continue.
(i've got the default IE installed on my system, never upgraded it as i don't use it, i use google chrome, of which a very recent version is installed)

Hope you can fix this, nevertheless good work ;)

Please don't keep using that old SKP... use the new SKP I fixed and sent back to you some days ago - I've fixed it's reversed faces and lots more too... then retry the plugin.
That missing geometry simply is NOT there in the original SKP - I added it in my version of it!

Do you have Internet connection when you run it - as the js error seems to be related to the missing yui sliders code - I'll try and hard-code them in rather than a web-link in the next update...

I am in dialog with Roen who has had trouble between EN v Dutch locales and a weirdness whereby SUp translates material names to the locale language but not the output image name in the texturewriter, so the image isn't found for the texture folder - I am working on fixing that - beta.q isn't perfect yet... It's a weird problem because I do tell it to use the same name for the material and path to the texture.jpg etc but it's still tripping up :?

Watch this space...
