Here's an updated version of the Exporter 1024-09
Octane_1024-09.zip

It resolves a recently reported issue with motion-blur checked=next/previous causing animation exports to fail...

TIG,
Thank you for you effort - great plugin but I encounter a serious problem. While exporting my SKP model (about 1.6 mln edges) at roughly about 180MB obj size, exporting process drastically slows down (usually it is about 1-2 MB/s while saving obj file, at 180MB it is 100KB/s). I also tested the 1024-08 version - same problem with speed. I installed back 1024-07 and the speed is fine. Final obj is about 380MB.

What can cause the problem with saving large objs?

So keep using the 07 version ;)
The newest version includes some checking code for relatively rare issues with mirrored objects returning flipped faces in the OBJ...
I can't see how to speed it up any more...

TIG,
Unfortunately I had to change this version back to 07, due to the smooth problem. Two examples of sketchup component with smooth elements were exported randomly. One edgy, one smooth.
07 is fine so far.

The main change in 09 compared to 07 was trying to trap for handed components/groups inside other handed component/groups etc which messes up the UV mapping and sometimes flips faces inside out during the 'meshing'.
The extra overhead is sorting this has made it slower to finish with complex models, but this is the first time I heard of other issues...
If you know there are no 'mirrored objects' in your SKP then 07 may well be the best choice.
Can you let me have your SKP with this problem [purged and zipped, by PM] and I'll see if I can get to the bottom of the matter...
