I wish to know what is the state of the art of NVLINK option for Cinema4d plugin.
It is possible to store both meshes and textures in GPU ram enabling it?
It is necessary, in order to work with nvlink enabled, to de-activate the Out-of-Core option?

Hi Luca,
NvLink works only with 2x GPUs with bridge, it is not possible to have 4xGPUx with 2x bridges.
If the scene goes over the available VRAM of one GPU, part of the scene is moved to the second GPU VRAM, similar to Out-of-core, but 10% faster.
Note that at the moment, only geometry objects can be moved, not textures, that need to be moved using Out-of-core.
So, you need to have both NvLink and Out-of-core options active.
Because of this, having the full scene loaded in VRAM of each GPUs is always faster and more stable.

ciao Beppe
