Hi!

I'm trying to drive my displacement map with a Dirt node, the dirt itself works fine, but when I plug it into the Displacement Map via Baking Texture it comes out black (even when tested via Diffuse channel.

What am I missing? Baking Texture works fine when using images and works fine for Displacement Map, why would dirt works fine, but break when plugged via Baking Texture?

I'm on the latest Octane 2019 1.5 R2.

Hi,
the Baking texture node is evaluated before geometry, so it cannot work with the Dirt node.
Better to bake the Ambient Occlusion pass from C4D standard engine with the baking tag for this task.
